August 2004- Dolpa District
A medical camp was organized in the far west region of Nepal, where 400 local people benefitted from the health check up performed by two doctors from the United Kingdom. Mr. Kevin Kopp, a UK citizen, lead the team.
December 2005, Dolakha District
Folk Nepal donated Rs. 75,000/- to heart patient Mrs. Sukumaya Shrestha. Operation was completed successfully. Mrs. Shrestha with her two children and husband after recovery of the health.
October 2006, Kathmandu
On the ocasion of 6th Anniversary of Folk Nepal, Blood donation program in National Blood Bank was held in Exhibition Road in Kathmandu.
March 2008, Khotang District
Folk Nepal organized a medical camp in Aiselukharka Bazaar, Khotang, offering free services for eye treatment. Including cataract surgery and reproductive health in addition to treatment for physical and dental problems 1755 patients benefitted from the services provided by the camp.
7th April 2008, Khotang District
Folk Nepal provided sports materials & jerseys sets to a team of Helping Hands Club, Aiselukharka, Khotang.
27th May 2008, Khotang District
Priyanka Rai (Class 1) and Chanduka Rai (Class 3) were living with their mother, Mrs. Samata Rai. They had no father. Folk Nepal provided the two children with scholarships in addition to providing clothing, blankets and shoes for the whole family.
2nd June 2008, Khotang District
Mrs. Pabitra Dhakal, suffering from a serious cataract problem and thus neglected by her husband was living with her poor father. Folk Nepal provided financial assistance for her operation. She re-gained her eyesight of one eye after successful treatment from Tripureshwor Eye Hospital, Kathmandu.
8th June 2008, Sindhupalchok District
Folk Nepal Educational Support Project, Barabise continued. 21 students from two different schools received Scholarships in Barabise, Sindhupalchok. There were 19 students on 2008.
August 2008, Khotang District
An education support project was launched in Khotang District for the first time. 35 scholars from Shree Ramuna Primary School were provided with the facilities of education support project.
1st September 2008, Kathmandu District
Mr. Amber Dahal, the only income generator of the family of 8 members, lost sight in both of his eyes, costing him his career. Folk Nepal made a donation for his eye transplant of one eye. One eye has already been transplanted.
18th November 2008, Kathmandu District
Mr. Krishna Rai of Solukhumbu, a hardworking student and good at his studies was sponsored by Folk Nepal for his Higher Level Education (Pre-Graduation).
24th December 2008, Kathmandu District
Mr. Rudra Narayan Subedi of Dhading, a labor in the construction of the buildings was suffering from a heart disease. Folk nepal has provided him with financial support towards his valve replacement surgery.
22nd January 2009, Kathmandu District
Shree Kalika Secondary School In Khotang had no secondary level Science teacher. Mrs. Nanda Rai of California, USA & Mr. Keith Goldstein, owner of Everest Waterproofing & Restoration in San Francisco, USA helped the school to Fund for the Science Teacher. There are 450 Students in the School.
20th March 2009, Kathmandu District
Folk Nepal conducted a 15 day candle making training and a marketing training to twenty women of Paurakhi Village. The women learned to make normal candles, floating candles, pillar candles, chip candles, pala candles, aroma candles, color mixing. They also learned finishing, packaging, costing, marketing and book keeping skills.
29th March 2009, Okhaldhunga
Folk Nepal inassociation with Nepal Eye Hospital and Namuna Dental Care Centre P. Ltd, conducted its fourth medical camp in Okhaldhunga. 1681 People benefitted from the Eye and Dental Camps. Cataract Surgeries, tooth extraction, filing and scaling were performed during the camp.
12th June 2009, Sindhupalchok District
The Education Support Project- Sindhupalchok continued into its third year. There were 21 schoolars from 3 different schools of the district. 6 scholars of 2008 appeared for the SLC. Folk Nepal distributed academic books, exercise books, pens, uniform and bags to the scholars.
5th July 2009, Khotang District
tThe Education Support project- Khotang has continued into its second year. There were 40 scholars from two different schools of the district. Folk Nepal distributed academic books, exercise books, pens, uniforms, bags, shoes and socks to the students.
2nd December 2009, Kathmandu District
Mr. Deepak Tamang, 13 year old, was suffering from heart disease. Both the valves in the heart had to be replaced. Folk Nepal donated the funds for the medical treatment. Mr. Tamang has successfully undergone valve replacement surgery in the Saheed Gangalal Heart Care Centre, Kathmandu, Nepal, one of the country’s best Heart Care Centre.
21st April 2010, Khotang District
The third project in Bakachol VDC. Folk Nepal has completed scholarship distribution in Ramuna Pre-Primary School this year.
25th April 2010, Khotang District
This year Folk Nepal added one more school- “Shree Singha Devi Primary School” in Biskham- Bakachol, Khotang to its scholarship project. Beginning with this year, Folk Nepal will be providing scholarships for 31 schools.
16th May 2010, Khotang District
Shree Ramuna Pre-Primary School- Bakachol, Khotang has upgraded itself to Primary School. The School has added more rooms and Folk Nepal helped the school to fix the roof in the added classrooms.
